Review/Notes: I was convinced to make some lasagna but it was a great excuse to have another bottle of wine! The lasagna turned out great and this Carmenere worked out with it pretty nicely. It wasn’t probably best suited to handle the acidity of the tomato sauce but before and after it was very nice. It seemed to me a lighter wine with a hint of fruitiness and a little edge to it. The bottle is pretty cool too with a jazzy gold bird on it.

We ate, drank, and made merry on our patio on this remarkably temperate Florida evening. Hard to imagine it is the second day of summer and we’re still able to enjoy the outside living areas! This was a great wine for the occasion though as it wasn’t too heavy.
