Review/Notes: Who’s up for a celebration? We’ve had an eventful few days between a trip to the vet with our old puppy and her miraculous recovery and racing our third Pumpkin Run today so we popped the top off some bubbly after eating a few bowls of chili.
The semi seco became clear pretty immediately. Berberana makes some nice sparkling wines that I really enjoy the smell of and this one is no different. It was a little on the sweet side though. Aside from that it is perfectly serviceable. I am wondering what it would taste like in a French 75…

Review/Notes: We were just feeling like champagne so we had this one. It was really nice following our pizza. Not overly dry, very full on the palate. Really fun. We’ve found a number of Cavas that we really enjoy since we started this project and this is definitely another one.

Review/Notes: We decided to try this one after some delightful, if not entirely healthy, salads. It was nice and crisp with a light finish. It didn’t taste thin or cheap, was nice and full on the palate and really kind of a surprise.

Purchased at Tim’s Wine Market in January 2015, received as a birthday gift! Yay me, great gift because it is delicious. And as an aside, if you need a really awesome wine that is not ‘run of the mill’ then you need to pop in here and talk to them because they have a great selection of wines and they really know their stuff, tell them what you are looking for, or what it is similar to, and they will help you pick something fantastic.
This is the best Cava I have had, I don’t think that it really qualifies as a “cheap” wine by our normal shopping patterns, and you could tell from the moment the cork popped. It has a great smell of rising bread and is crisp and light and completely satisfying. There’s a hint of citrus that is easily overpowered by a lemon bar. Don’t think that we eat lemon bars all the time, quite the contrary, which is why they’re still in the fridge.

Review/Notes: Light and bubbly, very nice initial sips. Not insanely complex but smells very nice and not at all offensive. Well rounded, could go well with a lot of different things.
